About How to Learn

Hi, I'm Aashu. I'm an engineer by education, I have some knowledge of technology, and above all I'm a curious person who likes figuring out how things work.

I started How to Learn because most tutorials either skip the basics or bury you in theory. While learning new things myself, from engineering software and electronics to languages and exam preparation, I kept running into the same problem: it was hard to find one clear, honest guide that said what to do first, what to ignore, and how long it really takes.

What you will find here

  • Step-by-step guides that you can follow in one sitting.
  • Realistic timelines and honest answers, including when something is hard.
  • Practical examples from things I have actually tried.

How I write

I'm still learning most of these topics as I write about them, and that is the point. I research each guide, try the steps where I can, and publish what worked in simple language. I update posts when software, prices or best practices change. You can read more in my editorial policy.
